About us

I’m Helen—a mum of two from Shropshire. My youngest son is 13, AuDHD with a PDA profile.

If you are living this life, you already know. You know the weight of the endless paperwork, the constant advocacy, the late-night worry, and the sheer exhaustion of holding evrything together for your child, day in and day out. Then there is the constant guilt you feel for siblings, partners and the immense pressure on the family as a whole.

Outside of family life, I’ve spent nearly 15 years working and talking with local mums. Over and over again, I’ve been struck by how many of us are struggling through the school system and dealing with the inevitable fallout at home.

We do it because we love our children completely. But in the middle of all that fighting and firefighting, who is looking out for us?

Why connection matters

There are plenty of internet forums out there, but they can often feel overwhelming, clinical, or intimidating. What we actually crave isn't another screen; it’s the comfort of a real, local friend who gets it without needing any explanations.

We need someone who understands why you're late, why you're tired, or why a simple trip to the supermarket took everything you had. But when you’re isolated and in the thick of it, finding your people feels nearly impossible.

How So Seen Circle works

So Seen Circle was created to make that connection easier.

It starts with something simple: an everyday bag featuring a subtle, understated logo. It is intentionally designed as an "if you know, you know" symbol. To a passerby, it’s just a normal, stylish bag for daily life. But to another SEN parent standing at the school gate, sitting in a waiting room, or walking through the park, it’s a quiet, instant nod that says: You are not alone, and I see you.

No shouting, no awkward introductions, and no pressure—just a gentle way to spark real-world conversation, build face-to-face friendships, and bring a bit of lightness and community back into our lives.

Built on positivity and shared strength

The SEN world often forces us to focus entirely on deficits, paperwork, and what our children can't do. We want So Seen Circle to be a space that focuses on the positive.

While the system focuses on the struggle, we want to celebrate who our children are—their brilliant minds, their deep passions, and their incredible resilience. And more than that, we want to champion you. Carer well-being isn't a luxury; it’s a necessity. You deserve a village.

How you can help us grow

So Seen Circle isn't a corporate brand—it’s a grassroots movement built by a mum, for mums and dads who need a circle of support.

Because we rely entirely on word-of-mouth, you are the heartbeat of this community. Here is how you can help us reach the parents who need it most:

  • Wear it proudly in your local community as a beacon for other parents.

  • Share our name with a friend who has been your lifeline, or drop our page into your local SEN WhatsApp chats.

  • Tag us on Instagram @soseencircle or connect us with local schools, parent support groups, and charities who might want to share the word.

We weren't meant to carry this heavy journey alone. Let’s find each other, look out for one another, and build a more understanding world right on our own doorsteps.
